Masterclass: University of Amsterdam (UvA) x Deloitte
Our University of Amsterdam (UvA) x Deloitte virtual masterclass will take place on Monday 21 March from 17:00 - 18:30.

Topic and speakers
This second masterclass will focus on the rules that CFOs and their finance teams should be aware of regarding the EU taxonomy that aims for more sustainable activities. A professor from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and a senior Deloitte expert will guide us through this matter, before we position the audience to ask questions.

About the speakers

Brendan O'Dwyer is a professor of Accounting at the Alliance Manchester Business School and University of Amsterdam (UvA). He published numerous award-winning papers on topics such sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement and non-financial assurance in the past decade.

Laurence Rivat is the EU Corporate Reporting Policy leader at Deloitte. She combines a variety of expertise from the field of auditing, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and standard setting.

Vanessa Otto-Mentz is a leader of sustainability solutions for Deloitte Netherlands, specifically leading in the area of non-financial reporting, climate risk and, sustainable finance advisory solutions as well as related assurance offerings. Before that Vanessa was the head of strategy and sustainability at one of Africa’s leading general insurance companies and worked to embed environmental, social and governance issues within the core strategy of the business to ensure a more sustainable and resilience business.
