The Deloitte VAT Number Validator for Oracle (EBS R-12) is an add-on which is able to automatically validates European VAT identification numbers of customers located in the (customer) master data of your Oracle system against the VIES or BZSt portal (BZSt only for German applications), which saves about 85% of the time compared to manual validations.

The add-on has been developed in view of recently introduced (European) VAT legislation (the ‘Quick Fixes’), which makes it obligatory to store (European) VAT identification numbers in order to substantiate the 0% VAT rate in cross-border B2B transactions. Non-compliance with this obligation can lead to high fines and time-consuming investigation by the tax authorities.

The Deloitte VAT Number Validator:

• Automatically performs validations of (European) VAT identification numbers and can be set for 'on-demand' and periodic validations.
• Validates the name, address and (European) VAT identification number of your customer when the data is available in the online portal.
• Stores the audit trail, including log files and audit results, securely within Oracle.
• Is fully integrated in your Oracle system and accessible via a User Interface.
• Allows you to improve the data quality of the (customer) master data.
• Has a short installation and implementation period.
