The Agile Growth Scan is an online dashboard that provides continuous insights into your agile transformation and the progress of individual teams. That insight is gained from an online questionnaire that team members anonymously fill out every three to four months. They answer approximately 40 questions about their perceptions of the planning, execution and evaluation of their team’s work and the quality of cooperation. Questions range from 'How does the agile team report?' to 'How are the scrum ceremonies aligned to the sprint cadence?’
The results of the scan are visible in a real-time dashboard. Scrum Masters can pinpoint suggested growth actions, improving their team’s performance. Transformation managers can use the dashboard for an overview of the agile transformation and to spot growth opportunities at the management level for the overall program or portfolio.
The scan is valuable both for organizations just starting out on their agile transformations and for those already much further along in the process. The latter, for example, can use it to tackle significant differences between teams, as one of our clients recently found out. With teams in both India and the Netherlands regularly working together, our client used the Growth Scan to make a more uniform agile approach between the two, improving the quality of work.
