The results at a glance

  • The majority of consumers do not expect to use newer transportation modes such as car-sharing, ride-hailing & car-pooling. Only 19% of consumers indicate they use multiple modes of transportation on the same trip. 

  • 18% of  Dutch consumers rarely use ride-hailing services. However, consumers do see multiple benefits of ride-hailing services like: lower ownership cost. 

  • 65% of Dutch consumers still intend to buy a car in the near future. Half of the consumers prefer gasoline/diesel engine vehicles.
